These terms apply to goods and services supplied by Williams Ridout Limited. They form part of our agreement with you alongside the accepted quotation, drawings and any other terms agreed in writing.
Any changes to these terms or to the agreed scope of work must be agreed in writing.

 
Confirmation of Order
 
All orders are subject to acceptance by Williams Ridout Limited. Your order is confirmed when we accept your order and receive the agreed deposit, typically 50% of the project price.
As our furniture and joinery is made specifically for each project, orders cannot normally be cancelled once manufacture has begun. If you wish to cancel, please contact us in writing. Any cancellation will be subject to your statutory rights and you will be responsible for reasonable costs and work already incurred or completed.

 
Price & Payment
 
Quotations are valid for six weeks unless stated otherwise.
Our price is based on the agreed scope of work and the costs known to us when we provide the quotation. If you request changes to the design, specification or scope, or if unforeseen site conditions or other circumstances outside our reasonable control materially affect the work, we will let you know and agree any additional costs with you before proceeding wherever reasonably possible.
Unless otherwise agreed, payment is by bank transfer as follows:

1. Design fees are payable on issue of our invoice.

2. 50% of the project price is payable before manufacture or other project work begins.

3. 25% is payable when manufacture is substantially complete and we notify you that the goods are ready for delivery or installation.

4. The remaining 25%, together with any agreed additional costs, is payable on completion of installation or delivery where installation is not included.

Invoices are payable when due. We reserve the right to pause design, manufacture, delivery or installation where an overdue payment remains outstanding.
Goods supplied by us remain our property until they have been paid for in full.

 
Design & Variations
 
Our work is made to the agreed drawings, specifications, materials and finishes.
Any changes requested after approval may affect the price and programme. We will make you aware of this before carrying out additional work wherever reasonably possible.
Natural materials such as timber and stone vary in colour, grain, figuring and texture. Samples are therefore representative rather than an exact indication of every finished piece.

 
Delivery & Installation
 
Our typical lead time is approximately 12–16 weeks from receipt of the deposit and approval of the information required to begin manufacture, unless otherwise agreed.
Delivery and installation dates are estimates. We will make reasonable efforts to meet agreed dates but may need to revise them where delays arise from design changes, site conditions, suppliers, other trades or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Installation normally takes place between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday, unless agreed otherwise.
The installation area should be clear, accessible and ready for our work before we arrive. If additional work is required because the area is not ready or accessible, we may charge the resulting reasonable costs.
Once goods have been delivered or installed, please take reasonable care of them. We cannot accept responsibility for subsequent damage caused by other trades, contractors or third parties.

 
Intellectual Property
 
Drawings, designs, specifications, prototypes, mock-ups and other design material created by or on behalf of Williams Ridout Limited remain our intellectual property unless otherwise agreed in writing.
They may not be reproduced, resold or used to manufacture the work elsewhere without our written permission.

 
Warranty
 
Furniture and joinery manufactured by Williams Ridout Limited carries our ten-year warranty. Fixtures, fittings and appliances supplied by us are covered by their applicable manufacturer's warranties.
Please inspect the work following installation and let us know promptly if anything appears damaged or defective so that we can investigate and put it right where appropriate.
Our warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, accidental or deliberate damage, misuse, neglect, failure to follow reasonable aftercare instructions, natural variation or movement in materials, or alterations or repairs carried out by others.
This warranty is in addition to, and does not affect, your statutory rights.

 
Your Statutory Rights
 
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any rights or remedies you have under applicable consumer law.
